Most collegiate apparel is designed for four years on campus. We're building something different — heirloom-quality knitwear inspired by vintage sweaters from the early 1900s, designed to be worn for decades.
Where It Started
A gap in the closet

Walk into any alumni event and you'll see it — the thin, faded campus tee that should have been retired years ago. The hoodie that screams "student" when you're trying to project "professional."
Golden Dome Threads was born from a simple observation: alumni love their universities for life, but the apparel available to them rarely reflects who they've become. The market was filled with campus souvenirs, not garments worthy of a lifelong relationship.
We set out to change that — creating collegiate apparel that honors the journey, celebrates achievement, and gives alumni a sophisticated way to wear their pride.

How We Build

We don't print logos on cheap blanks and call it a day. Every Golden Dome Threads garment is built using techniques borrowed from heritage knitwear makers — the same methods that produced the varsity sweaters of the early 1900s that are still worn today.
450–500 GSM Fleece
Over twice the industry standard weight. Brushed interior, structured drape, built to hold its shape for years.
Hand-Cut Chenille
Each appliqué is individually cut, positioned, and chain-stitched — just like vintage varsity letterman jackets.
Hidden Heritage Details
Concealed 'Once a Retriever' messages, woven labels, and embroidered university shields that reward the attentive wearer.
Antique Brass Hardware
Silicone-dipped zipper pulls, tonal eyelets, and hardware chosen for patina — not for cost savings.

UMBC becomes our inaugural university partner. The Heritage Collection — 15 styles — enters production.
Limited run drops. Marymount and Towson partnerships secured. Production scales across three universities.
